Here is an opportunity to meet OPC Home and Overseas Missionaries. The Orthodox Presbyterian Church has always made missions a priority, often in challenging and even dangerous places. It is exciting to get first-hand reports of what God is doing in their ministries. We will be hearing from both foreign and home missionaries.

Special guests are:

Ben Hopp and his family, Foreign Missionaries to Haiti, and

John Hilbelink and his wife, Church Planters in Rockford, Illinois

This conference is jointly sponsored by Covenant OPC in New Berlin, Falls Presbyterian Church in Menomonee Falls, and Mercy OPC in Cedarburg. The location is Falls Presbyterian Church, W156 N7356 Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls.

On Friday, February 9, there will be a special evening pizza social for young people in grades 7-11, along with the Hopp’s from Haiti, starting at 7:30pm.

On Saturday, February 10, the schedule is as follows:

8:30am Continental Breakfast

9:00am-12:20pm Two sessions, one each with the Hopp’s and the Hilbelink’s

9:00am-12:20pm Simultaneously, two sessions for children preschool through 5th grade. They will get their own special time with each of the missionaries who will alternate between the Adult and Children’s sessions

12:20pm Lunch and an opportunity to talk personally with the missionaries and their families

Nursery facilities will be available.

Plan to come and gain a renewed vision about reaching around the world with the Gospel.

Pastor Ben Hopp will be with us at Covenant on Sunday, February 11, reporting on his mission work in the Adult Sunday School hour, and then bringing the message in our morning worship service. It is a privilege to welcome the Hopps, and we expect a good turnout for this Sunday morning.

Because of the special guests February 12, we are moving the Fellowship Meal from the February 5 after the Lord’s Table, to February 12.

In January, the topic is Bible reading–discovering various systems and tips for systematic reading of the Scriptures, and also “Praying the Scriptures”.

These promise to be practical studies that can help us be in God’s Word more regularly–not only to check of the number of chapters or books read, but to become familiar with the Bible so we can begin to see how it all fits together in one seamless, powerful book that is pertinent to our lives today.
